I met a devil woman, She took my heart away,
She said, I had it comin' to me, But I wanted it that way.
I think that any love is good lovin', and So I took what I could get mmh,
Oooh, oooh she looked at me with big brown eyes And said:
You ain't seen nothin' yet,
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet,
Here's something that you never gonna forget,
B-B-B-Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet.
And now I'm feelin' better, 'Cause I found out for sure.
She took me to her doctor And he told me of a cure.
He said that any love is good love So I took what I could get mmh,
Oooh, oooh she looked at me with big brown eyes And said: Chorus 2x
In 1974, Bachman-Turner Overdrive had just finished their third album, so they played it for the record company. They were told that their album didn't have a strong single, they needed a song with some magic. So during this meeting, someone in the band said "what about the joke song?" It turns out the band recorded one extra song, meant just to test the sound levels and it was going to be a joke for the singer to give to his brother. The track was out of tune and had made up lyrics and the singer sang in a fake stutter just to make his brother laugh because he had a stutter. The band's executive listened to the song and told them "this song floats 3 feet above all the others, put it on the album." Randy Bachman did try to re-sing the vocals straight, but he said it sounded like bad Frank Sinatra, so the song went out as is.
