Classics IV had a total of three Top 10 hits; and all three had 'one word' titles, the other two were "Stormy" (#5 in 1968) and "Traces" (#2 for 1 week in 1969)
Another song about a girl with unpredictable mood swings: Billy Joel"s "She's Always a Woman."
The song started out as a riff over Gershwin's "Summertime" when the guy who wrote it (Mike Sharp, solo saxist) decided it would work well on its own. Then the guys from Classics IV heard the instrumental on the radio and decided to write words to it.
Later, JR Cobb of Classics IV would go on to join the Atlantic Rhythm Section where he made it into a hit all over again.
