Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a-Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby, kiss me
Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, in other words
I love ... you

The popular love song, "Fly Me to the Moon," was written in 1954 by Howard J. Gustafson (aka Bart Howard) for his long time companion, Thomas "Bud" Fowler. It was recorded by many artists, including JUDY GARLAND, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, and Sia. They were together for 58 years, until Howard's death in 2004.
This is the 1950 Census of NYC (East 28th), showing the two men together, with Howard as a pianist, and Bud as a salesman (at a clothing store). They were buried together in Texas!!
