I’ve Got a Crush on You George and Ira Gershwin

How glad the many millions of  Timothy's and Williams would be  to capture me
But you had such persistence
You wore down my resistance and I fell  and it was swell
You're my big and handsome Romeo
How you won me I will never know
It's not that your attractive
But oh my hear grew active
when you, came into view

I've got a crush on you, sweety pie
All the day and night time, hear me sigh
I never had the least notion
That I could fall with such emotion

Could you coo, could you care
For the cottage, we two could share
The world will pardon my mush
Because I've got a crush on you

Note: Carly Simon sings "Dirks and Mikes and Williams" instead of "Timothy's and Williams".  According to Michael Fienstein (page 311 of his book), Ira HATED rhying "millions" and "Williams" - it wasn't a perfect rhyme.  He wanted 'How glad the many laddies, from millionaires to caddies'.
